Extension Management Overview
This release introduces a complete extension management capability for gateways.
Users can now:
- View available extensions for a gateway
- View installed and in-progress extensions
- View detailed information for each extension
- Install and uninstall extensions
- Update extension configurations
A network administrator can also manage and control the extension update process, including retrying or cancelling updates when needed.
Users can also manage extension update workflows more effectively, including:
- Updating extension configurations
- Retrying failed updates (installation, configuration, or removal)
- Cancelling updates when no longer needed
Note: This feature requires gateway OS version 2.3.1 or above.
Supported WisGateOS Extensions
This release introduces initial support for built-in WisGateOS extensions that enable gateway operation and maintenance capabilities.
- Operation & Maintenance Extension: Supports scheduled device reboot and 4G network status monitoring.
- Failover Reboot Extension: Periodically checks the status of network connections such as LTE, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Monitoring Extension: Monitors Wi-Fi stability using periodic ping and HTTP checks.
- Open/Close Port Extension: Provides controlled port access and can only be configured after installation.
